Founders

Paul ALLARD - Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Alternative Media Initiative (AMI, parent company of Alternative Channel and IPEXVIEW)
Mr. Allard has 17 years of experience starting and growing companies in technology and online media. In 1997, he created ZAQ Inc., an interactive television company. In 2006, he co-founded Alternative Media Initiative Inc., which saw the launch of two ventures in the online video space; IPEXtv.tv, and AlternativeChannel.tv.

Hugues COCHARD -Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Alternative Channel
Hugues Cochard is an entrepreneur specialized in online media and education technologies. In 1988, he founded Médiaconcept Technologies, which developed the first educational CD-ROMs. He later sold the company to France Telecom. In 1996, Mr. Cochard launched Studi.com, which innovated web-based tutorial and educational services. Most recently, he co-founded Alternative Channel in order to fuse his passions for education, knowledge and social entrepreneurship.

Alternative Channel™ offers an online platform to disseminate your message and gain visibility by videos, blogs, and videoblogs. Each year, Alternative Channel organizes an international forum devoted to the top-of-mind issues in social entrepreneurship and social responsibility.

The first edition of the Alternative Channel Forum, devoted to "Social Networking and Responsible Media", was held in Barcelona on April 30^th, 2008. These bi-annual events bring together Alternative Channel's vast and international community of leaders from the corporate and non-profit sectors to discuss the most pressing issues at the intersection of business and social change. Our upcoming Forum in Montreal in 2009 will focus on Social Business and the Future of Capitalism.
